Canceled and settled slot rounds: reconcile refunds without inventing wins
A returned stake from a canceled round can raise a balance without being a game win. If a history mixes refunds with awards, label the credits before calculating the session result.

The word canceled must come from the actual record. A loading error or interrupted animation alone does not establish that the wager was canceled or that a refund is due.
Start with a confirmed cancellation, not a frozen screen
The UK interrupted-gambling standard distinguishes different interruption states. It is not a Philippine refund policy. Here we deliberately assume that Round A is recorded as canceled and its full stake is confirmed returned. The example does not decide how any real interruption should be resolved.

Round A has a net of zero: its 30-unit debit is reversed by a 30-unit refund. Round B has a net of 8 − 20 = −12. The final balance of 188 is therefore 12 below the opening 200.
Calling all 38 units of credits “winnings” would hide the 30-unit refund. The balance addition still works, but the label would misdescribe what happened.
Match the reversal to its original entry
Use the round and transaction references, amount, currency and status. Two equal credits are not automatically duplicates; two different rounds may each return 30. Conversely, the same refund appearing in a round history and an account export is one movement shown in two places.
A reversal identifier is stronger evidence than a screenshot captured near the same time. If the systems use separate identifiers, preserve both and record the relationship only when the history or support response establishes it.
Handle unresolved rows without forcing the total
If Round A is pending instead of canceled, the refund row cannot be filled with an assumed 30. Report the debit and unresolved status. If a refund is partial, enter the actual credit and keep the unexplained difference visible rather than rounding it up to the stake.
For a clear account question, state the original reference, recorded status and unmatched amount. Do not combine another deposit or promotional credit with the refund merely because it makes the balance reconcile. A correct ledger identifies the source of each movement as well as its size.
